since selling the Christmas tree last thanksgiving, i had to bring the daily ritual of holiday back and wanted to start celebrating advent. last year, gifts were in popcorn bags. this year, they are in envelopes with the old address end snipped off.
i found the already-made advent labels here and repurposed them by just folding them and zigzagging them to close each envelope. each envelope is filled with a different item like sugar-free gum, pens, barrettes, erasers, panties, office supplies, wild knee-high socks, etc.
this has now become her favorite part of the holiday season.

You'd never guess the envelopes were recycled. Great job! I would prefer that ritual to a Christmas tree too.
